Obituary for Samuel Santangelo

Funeral Service for Samuel Santangelo, Sr., age 91, will be 12:30 PM, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St. Mary Magdalene Parish, 32114 Vine Street, Willowick. Family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home, 36000 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake. Entombment will be in All Souls Cemetery.
Mr. Santangelo served in US Navy during WWII, and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He passed away on October 16, 2017. He was a 62 year Willowick resident and worked for Addressograph-Multigraph as Chief Shop Steward, worked for the Village of Timberlake Service Department and retired from Universal Hydraulics.
Samuel was preceded in death by his wife Lavada (nee Alicastro); parents, Nicholas and Concetta (nee Magna) Santangelo. He leaves behind two children Joanne (nee Santangelo) Whiting (Ron) and Samuel Jr.; three grandchildren, Rosalia (nee Blatnik) Jaite, Ashley (Jamie) Onion, and Samuel III; great-grandson Thomas Jaite Jr.; and his loving partner Ann King.
